IYH has inspired many people from all walks of life to get involved and help us to make a difference to the lives of six school communities in Nepal.

We are lucky enough to have inspired some people who can help us reach so many more because they are influential in their own right. They have chosen to be IYH Ambassadors for their own reasons. We are proud and grateful to them for using their time and energy to help.

We are delighted that Julie Hasmondhalgh is our first In Your Hands Ambassador.

 Julie says:

“I’m incredibly proud to be an ambassador for this wonderful organisation, In Your Hands, dedicating time and energy, talent and resources to helping End Period Poverty in Nepal through education, information and basic sanitary protection. Please get involved!”

Please show your support by taking a selfie like this and tweet and/ or post on Instagram with a shout out for IYH.    #EndPeriodPoverty   #InYourHands     #Nepal”

Julie is well known for her role as Hayley Cropper in Coronation Street.  More recently she has been in Happy Valley and in Broadchurch amongst many other roles.  She appeared in Dr Who on Sunday, 18th November 2018.  We are all huge fans.

David has been a lifetime friend. He has manged to become a respected and influential figure in the world of business. He is the Head of Strategy at Pension Insurance Corporation. However he is also a man of action for worthy causes and is the driving force behind his own charity, "Wild Wheelchairs" which among other things supports the production of  sustainable  manufactured wheelchairs in Ethiopia.

Why is he happy to support and promote IYH?

"Thanks Pauline – I would be delighted and honoured to be an ambassador!  As to why I believe in what you do – Education is a the core of making change, and positive change cannot happen without good education, in whatever area."
